I plan to call the doctor on Monday (if he's in). My readings have been being bad. Today when I got up it was 178. I don't understand as I had been doing lots better than that, but it is what it is. I have sleep apnea and can't tolerate the cpap machine, so I never get sufficient rest. I've been under a lot of stress worrying about my mom. She has astma but no matter what I do or say, she refuses to go to the doctor. She has no insurance and finances are very tight. if she extends herself at all, she breathes laboriously. This isall scary and depressing to me. Maybe that's affecting my blood sugar?

Yes, stress can affect the blood sugar in some people.  Sorry about your mother.  What kinds of food do you eat at meals?  Can you give us an idea of what you eat in a day?
