The A1C does not fluctuate with time of day but reflects the percentage of glycated hemoglobin. Higher percentages equate to poorer blood sugar control in the preceding 120 days or so. Are you getting the test done often?

Diligent, I don't think you mean "A1c".  You mean that you took your blood sugar  before you got up. Is that right?  The A1c is a blood test done by a lab and gives you the blood sugar average for the past 3 months.  That's a reading that's extremely high and dangerous.  What did you eat for dinner and during the day before you woke up to that?

What's a German burger?  How is it made?  What's on it or with it?  Diligent, have you read our threads here about food and the sticky above all the posts in the Diabetes section about What Makes Our Blood Sugar Rise?  I don't know how much a 'half a pkt of rice' is but the rice will make your blood sugar rise for sure.  First of all, the food we eat will determine if the blood sugar is going to rise to unacceptable readings.  If you continue to eat rice and food made with flour, or potatoes, your blood sugar will be very high.  That's a fact.  Stress may add to that but not to such a large extent every day.  Secondly, if your blood sugar is like this every day, you'd better go back to the doctor and be re-evaluated.  If you are doing all you can do to help yourself by following a good food plan but your blood sugar is still that high, then your meds need adjusting.  Maybe the doctor would prescribe insulin.  I don't know what else to tell you.  Maybe another member can help.
