Posted 6/21/2010 7:09 AM (GMT -6) I don't have enough crap to deal with!! I just started my 4 shots of insulin a day a little over a week far so good. my levels are going down drastically and I actually feel better...but now I have this "issue". My feet are swollen....pretty bad. My toes look like link sausages and my feet feel really tight. Could this be caused by the insulin?

Spinal Stenosis, DDD, DJD, HBP, Type 2 Diabetes

Metformin ER 500 mg. X 2 @ bedtime

That's all....but OMG!! isn't that enough?

Using insulin would not cause your feet to swell - at least I've never heard or read anything to that effect.

Poor circulation, dehydration, heart problems, medicinal side effect, and many more reasons could cause the swelling. With all you've got going on, me, you might want to call your doc.

You don't want to wind up pushing yourself around in a wheelchair like I must do since both my legs were amputated far above my knees because of my diabetus and circulation problems.  shakehead A wheelchair and no legs is no fun at all even if your used to it like I am. Take care of yourself now, don't neglect yourself as I did for quite a few years.
