Ok, what this is NOT is a place to advertise products or to post rave reviews about your favorite brand etc.
What this IS, is a place to let everyone know if you've discovered a manufacturer giving away freebies that we as diabetics should know about.  For instance
               - When Lifescan gives away cupons for free BS meters
               - When Avandia makes cupons available through your doctor for a 30 day suppl y for free.
               - When Byetta makes a welcome kit with a "cool" bag available for free to carry your pen in
You get the idea.  Describe what it is and tell us where to look for it, don't go posting tons of links as we are all adept at using google if you point us in the right direction.
Hopefully this way when there is something worthwhile for FREE out there we can all hop on it and not say "boy I wish I'd known about that".

To start this off, here are a couple things that may be of help:
The first is a website. "Debbys Doodles Diabetic Freebies" is a site that has a myriad of links to all kinds of free stuff for Diabetics.
The AVANDIA web site is sponsoring a cupon for a 30 day free trial of Avandia. (this is worth a ton of money) If you are already a user, you can get a cupon for $30 off and other goodies.
The ACTOS website is offering $50 off on your perscription - check it out

My Local CVS (so Im assuming elswhere) has the Lifescan "one touch ultrasmart" and "one touch ultra" both on sale for $30.  These include additional $20 and $30 mail in rebates respectively; but there must be some sort of national promotion going on between now and December 3rd as the "Ultrasmart" meter is normally $85 (NOW $10 AFTER REBATE).  Great meters at a discount for the holidays.

Not quite a "FREEBIE" but a pretty good giveback

Hey guys! I just went to my local Rite-Aid to pick up some of my prescriptions and I saw that the Freestyle and Freestyle Flash glucose meters are both on sale for $40.00 and have a $40.00 rebate, meaning that after the mail-in rebate they're FREE! I think it's only until January 28, 2006, sooo... if you need a meter, here's an option for you!
