Glucerna Meal replacement bevearge for diabetics

Any one have any strong views for or against? I would obvioulsy prefer a real meal with real healthy food but for when I'm pressed for time?

Actually, the carb count is right in line with what I need for a meal. Looks pretty good. How many gms of protein, fat and fiber?

I have to admit, when I'm in a hurry or trapped in traffic I eat a Balance bar. They are made with soy and taste kind of 'healthy' but they work in a pinch. I often can find them at 'Big Lots' for 33ยข each which is a super savings! I always carry one in my purse for when I'm late for a meal.

I guess the bottom line would be the cost for Glucerna... I prefer my bars for now because of the ease of having them in my purse. Do they make a Glucerna bar?

they make a bar but it was only 150 calories and I was looking for the cal equivalent of a small meal. It's no 33 cents, about $2 a can and the bars are a bit less. I like drinking it cause it leaves me feeling a little fuller...

The numbers look good but I wouldn't use this very often. If you add a large cup of tea or diet pop, even Crystal Light, will help full you up along with a bar instead of the glucerna... That's way too expensive for my budget. If you like it,and can afford it I can't see why not.
