Hi there I am glad I found you!  I was just diagnosed with Diabetes and have had MS for almost 13 years. I am looking to talk to someone who has both conditions or any other two conditions. I have been doing very well with the MS but now I am worried about my total body health with this Disbetes. I have the 1.5 type so I will eventually need insuline. can anyone share any words of wisdom? I feel just about as overwhelmed as i could! I can't stop thinking about all this and just need to know it will be ok  Thanks LU

I have ulcerative colitis and recently found out I have type 1. I was being treated for type 2 for awhile. I am new to insulin and it has made a vast improvement in me. I am getting back to myself more and more. I just need to get my dosages figured out, and then learn how to adjust them according to my food intake. This site has been a great help to me.
I was told by the endo doc that my autoimune system attacked my pancreas, DIabetes isnt in my family , nor colitis. WHich is also autoimmune related.

My heart goes out to you battling two diseases.  But you can do it!  Diabetes is overwhelming when you're first diagnosed but it really isn't all that hard to live with.  I've had it for 34 years.  I was 17 and in denial at first and never did what I should....I still don't do everything I should.  I know what to do but don't always do it.  I was on shots for years and now am on an insulin pump.  If you have any questions about diabetes, I'll try to answer them.  I don't know everything but I do know a lot of regular everyday stuff about it.
