Don't know quite what's up with me but in this heat I just don't have any appetite at all. I was working in my garden today and totally forgot to eat until four o'clock, by which time I had the shakes and was doing the 'stare' thing... My husband came home from work and was having a snack and realized I was crashing. I didn't even notice it myself until he got the cheese and crackers out... He started to tease me a bit but I know he was scared. He often doesnt' get home until much later and he was drilling me about what I ate today.

I will pay more attention from now on, but does anyone else find the heat does this to them? I'm drinking sun tea and water by the gallon so maybe that's what is making my tummy feel full? Any ideas anyone?

You and me both, Jeannie. I can't stand the heat or more specifically, the humidity. It was over 30 degrees yesterday but felt closer to 40 with the humidity. Brutal! I am a slug in hot weather and find it zaps all my energy in mere minutes. Literally.

I tend to drink a lot (water with lemon or lime), and subsequently, eat really light, too. Maybe from the full tummy but more likely the heat for me. I don't know where I'd be sometimes if it weren't for my husband reminding me it's time to eat. We're on a pretty tight eating schedule and that helps. From the minute I get up, I'm front-and-center every couple of hours with testing or eating till my last Levemir shot at 7:30-8:00pm. I almost always tend to lose myself when I start gardening and (again) my husband is often the one turning the patio light on telling me it's time to come in -lol.

Gotta go plant my petunias before it gets too hot. L8R!

Phish,
Ok, so it's not just me... Thanks! I live in Michigan and the heat we're having is moving right next door to your house in Ontario... Whew! What a way to start the summer... Have to go bake wedding cakes. Hope your petunias don't wilt in all this heat!

BTW, do you have another nickname or first name? I just hate calling you 'fish'... tongue

Oh, Lovely! Noticed the conditions are just peachy for the mosquitos, too. Guess I'll be in hybernation for a while :-)

Oh...you can use Kris if you like. LOL - didn't really think the phish thing through, eh? Think I was just commenting about living life in a fish bowl when I signed on. Or something like that :-)
