Hi there,
 
              Sitagliptin is a novel anti-diabetic drug that acts by increasing the levels of active Incretin hormones.It is undergoing phase 3  trials in USA and is already approved for use in Mexico as on the 8th of August.The link below should be informative:http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/medicalnews.php?newsid=25962

Just to add that this is a drug aimed at type 2s, and not at type 1s.

Thanks for the info, Spooky and Claire-Bear. I've been type 2 for 29 years. Will be 30 years on Labor Day.

Hypothyroidism (1953), diabetes type 2 (1976), hypercholesterolemia (1989), gastroparesis (1990), FMS (1995), and GERD (2006).

FMS: Prozac, Xanax, Lortab.

Other meds: Nexium, Cytomel, Detrol, Reglan, Novolog insulin, Novolin N insulin, Bumex, Lipitor.
