stress and blood sugar levels

Does stress raise blood sugar levels and if so can it fluctuate quickly???

Stress, alcohol, fiber in foods, fats consumed, timing of meals and snacks, exercise (and if the day ends in "y", LOL!) can all affect blood sugar levels. If you are following your food plan, doing your meds and getting your exercise you might be able to look at mood for high sugars but I would look to the first three first.

I was wondering the same thing. My bloodsugar has been WAY up lately...but I've been doing exactly like I always have, taking my meds, watching what I eat very carefully, etc.The only thing different is that I've been under a tremendous amount of stress. sad I'm guessing this is the reason for the higher numbers.
