new at this: high fasting and high numbers before bed

I have about 150's when I go to bed and then when I wake up I get the 250's! But I just got diagnosed on thursday so I am still getting used to my numbers

You don't want to get used to those numbers... Your doctor is going to be starting you on meds that should bring those numbers way down. If you've been living with high numbers for a while you may find that you have some low blood sugar feelings (light headed, hungry) when your numbers get down to normal range for a few days. Your body will quickly adjust. Please keep us posted on how you're doing and read back in the forum for food plan hints and exercise ideas. I'll bump some of the info up for you so it's easy to find.

The short form for "you are" is "you're", NOT "your".

I wish I had that magic power but the admin wants us to just keep bumping the good posts. You are welcome to bump them for me if you have the time and I'm not getting it done. Stickies don't always get read anyway... just become part of the background here. Thanks for the good idea... I've tried to get it done and sometimes it's just easier to do the bump thing.
