I am in my 50s. I have Crohn's Disease (since childhood), Chronic Atrophic Pancreatitis (since age 18), diabetes, Peripheral Neuropathy, Rheumatoid Arthritis, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, asthma, Rosecea. I have had 4 surgeries including: for the pancreas/ 1. sphincteroplasty, duodenostomy, cholecysectomy, 2. Pancreaticojejunostomy; for my Crohn's/ 3. resection, temporary colostomy, 4. proctectomy with sigmoid colonectomy,  permanent colostomy.

Ok... It kind of says if you over eat and don't exercise you are prone to diabetes... What it doesn't say is that when you are pre diabetic or diabetic your body converts food into fat before it uses it for energy... which makes you fat and tired so you don't want to exercise... Kind of the chicken and the egg thing... But the cortisol slant might help explain why we have so many more diabetics now than before... We live in stressful times.
