Well I went to my dr today for my 3 months checkup....he couldn't believe that I actually had a smile on my face when he walked in!  I usually only go once a year when he forces me.  Anyway got the blood work done and he said he would call in the morning with the results.  We are both really anxious.  I've lost 31 pounds since the April 2nd.  I will let you know the results...but he tell me not to expect a 7 yet as I was 10.3 on last testing.

Hi Patti, congratulations on your weight loss!  Wow!  And fingers crossed for your blood work.  I know the apprehension waiting for results but it sounds like you're doing great!  Have you been recording your blood sugar numbers?  Have they come down?

If your numbers are routinely averaging under 136 and your meter is in tune with the equipment your lab uses to analyze your blood, you can expect to see a 7.0.  Your doctor probably doesn't want to raise your hopes- but I can tell you for a fact that it is possible to drop from a 15 to a 7.5 in just one month ( that's what happened to me).  I jumped up and did a happy dance right there in the office. The next month ( 1 month visits at that point) I dropped to a 5.9- and then down to my current level of 5.2 (where I have stayed for the past 6 months).  So keep that smile on your face adn prepare your happy dance:-) sandy

Thanks to both of you. I have been recording my results and they are running 100-120 in the am fasting and 90-120 in the evening before my dinner. These readings are both before my Byetta injection. Sandy you have me really excited now...can't wait until morning!
Thanks again

Kudos to you for the weight loss! You should be proud of yourself :-) I'm keeping my fingers crossed for good news on the blood results - I'm sure you'll do fantastic there, too.
