WOW. These are GOOD!

I had my first "test" with one today. I thought I read about them *somewhere* but couldn't remember where. What it here?

The "facts" are friendly

Total Carb - 9
Dietary Fiber - 5
Sugars - 1
Sugar Alcohol - 3

I had one (DELICIOUS!) and just tested after 1.5 hours. 83. WOO HOOO! I've found a "traveling" bar!!! Only four grams of protein so not enough for a "real" meal, but darned good to hava a bunch stashed in the car!
Cheers -

I have one as a snack. I pretend I'm eating a snickers bar. Taste just like it.

It was probably me that mentioned them. I am always talking about how good they are on here.

The Atkins Advantage bars are even better for the diabetic. Some of the flavors have no sugar. No sugar alcohol. 10g of fiber (which is 40% daily recommended) 19g of protein (which is 38% daily recommended)

At first the Advantage bars are not as tasty as the Endulge bar, but you quickly get hooked on all the nutrition in them. They have a lot of vitamins in them as well.

They are cheapest at Walmarts. I have purchased them at several Walmarts in several states, but for some reason they are placed an aile or two away from all the other nutrional bars. So you have to look for them. Ask for the Atkins shakes.

I recommend the Atkins Advantage bars and shakes all the time- lots of protein, virtually carb free and they don't taste like sawdust!  I also like the Oh Yeah bars that taste like peanut butter Kit Kats......sandy

Huh. Thanks DMW and Sandy! I'll try the Advantage ones next!

Sandy, are the "Oh Yeah" bars Atkins or is that the brand name?

I buy the Oh Yeah! bars at Vitamin World. They sell them online www.vitaminworld.com They are manufactured by ISS (Integrated Sports Science) (www.issresearch.com)
They come in a package of two. Each stick has 90 calories- 7.5 grams of protein and 1.5 grams of carb.  They are very Kit Kat like and come in several flavors.

ISS also makes other lines that have higher carbs, and are more like meal replacements or pre-workout snacks, so you have to watch the label.

Hi Ruth

I get a lot of stuff at vitaminworld - I take 1000 mg of the flush free niacin every day- doctor asked me to take that one. I take their vegetarian multiple, triple fish oil, triple strength cranberry capsules (bladder), horse chestnut (for varicose veins); chromium pincolinate, super biotin (both for glucose control); milk thistle (to support my liver bec I take metformin); a probiotic, and vitamin C-

I get the Oh Yeah bars there and I use their whey protein powder. My loyalty card gets a good workout! lol

I was looking at that flush free niacin!!! I take Niaspan (?) 1,500 units and it costs me $40 per month via prescription copay. Using the stuff I saw I could save a couple hundred a year! I printed it off and will show it to my doctor tomorrow.
