Has anyone ever had trouble getting bug bites heal? I've had bug bites on my legs for over a month. They swell & are infected. I do not know if I am diabetic but I am hypoglycemic & can not eat sugar with out hypo-g spells, I do have tumid lupus but do not understand just exactly what it is. I feel a little ridiculous going to doc over bug bites but they are so itchy I'm not going to be able to stand it much longer.

Hi bh,

PLEASE...get to the doctor. Skin intrusions that don't heal and get infected are nothing to mess with. Especially when you don't know the underlying cause. Don't waste time...get there next chance you get...please???

I agree with Chutz. You need to get them checked out. A friend of mine felt silly going to the doctor about bug bites. He went and is glad he did. He had lyme disease. Since he went early he was able to treat it and is fine. If it turns out to be nothing then that is great! Better to be safe than sorry. If something worries you, then that alone is reason enough to have it checked. If it turns out to be nothing then you can feel at ease.
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.  Shouldn't I be invincible by now?
