I had to stop my avadia back in late April. I did it for cost reasons, before they found out it caused heart attacks. As a result I eliminated everything white from my food plan except cauliflower. No grains and no tubers like potatoes. So far I've lost 29 lbs. and my morning sugars are running 85 to 110. You can read about

I have maintained my metformin at 1000 mg in AM and 850 mg in PM
Lantus insulin 13 units at bedtime. (I've actually dropped it from 15)
