hi everyone,
I have jouvenile myoclonic epilepsy. and right before I had my seizure last year I couldn't breath and then blacked out.
Sometimes when i sleep I wake up not being able to breath but then cough a lot. This has only happened a few times. Has anyone ever heard of this happening?

Hi there and Welcome to Healingwell!

I cant say that I have heard of this happening before but logically it makes sense to me that it is a possibility. Have you spoken to a doctor about this? It sounds quite dangerous from what you are describing and I would definately see what a doctor thinks about it. When you cough, do you cough up any mucus or liquid? Does it feel like your throat is blocked by something?

Everyone has a guardian angel. They help pick you up when you fall, comfort you through your times of need and help you appreciate the times when things are going well.
