I was started on 400 mg Lamictal a day, I immediately noticed a big increase in spasticity, loss of control over my limbs. Has anybody had the same experiance? How about bone and muscle pains?

Hi there,
I have not experienced this with Lamictal but I know a lot of people here have. I do get the same problem but I take Carbamazepine/Tegretol. I also get pains in my shoulders and knees but im not sure if it is med related. Have you considered talking to the doctor about this?

I understand exactly what you mean! I have that exact same problem. i drop things all the time and lose control of my limbs. However, i always thought that was just because of not taking my medicine, i never thought it could be a side effect.
Either way lamictal just isn't for me. I'm increasing my topamax instead.
