I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was 17. But, lately Ive been waking up with strange feeling. The other night...I was coming out of sleep and my eyes started moving violently in my head. They were moving so quickly that I felt like I was going to vomit. When I opened them I couldnt focus on anything. It lasted only a few moments. I told my neuro about it but she said she didnt suspect a seizure.
Then last I was also coming out of sleep....I felt numbness all over my was pins and needles everywhere...and my head felt like it was going to blow up....i heard myself moaning which woke my up....then i couldnt move for a few moments.
I dont know what has been happening? Has this happened to anyone?

I don't have epilepsy but my son does.  I don't know if what you are experiencing are seizures but it doesn't sound normal.  My son has had seizures in his sleep.  He knew when he woke up because he had bitten his tongue and his muscles were all tensed.  If I were you I would get a second opinion from another neurologist because you could be having seizures in your sleep.  Just because one dr. says she doesn't think so doesn't mean it's not happening.  If you are having seizures in your sleep you may need you meds adjusted or need to take a different one.  A second opinion is always worthwhile.  If you are not feeling things are right I wouldn't just take the word of this neurologist.  I would explore this situation further.  Are you on any anti seizure meds? Have you had a recent EEG?  These are all things to consider.  Hope this helps you.

Thank you for your reply! I am currently taking Lamictal and Topomax. I have been switched off and on of meds for the past eight years now. Collectively I have tried 6 different meds. This combo is the 7th. Currently my doc and I are disscusing brain surgery because nothing seems to be working.
I feel good as far as side effects go but I still seem to be having small seizures during the day, and now this seems to be happening at night time. I dont know what it is though. Panic attacks maybe?
I had a video EEG done last summer but nothing showed up while I was sleeping, but then again, I didnt have these "attaks" then either.
