I do not have epilepsy, but I cannot find any information about a tongue problem I am having and this is the only place I know where to ask. Six days ago, I woke up after a 3 hour nap and my front teeth were clamped down hard on my tongue. It was painful and numb/tingling. The pain quickly went away and most of the surface area that was numb has returned to normal. However, the tip of my tongue is still numb and it seems to not have taste ability either.
I am desperately seeking information on what may be wrong with my tongue. I have a doctor's appointment coming up next week, but in the meantime I am trying to find answers. Please know I have Googled for two days and can't find anything. I'm sorry to come here, but I am really worried and thought someone might be able to advise me. Thank you.
