Well, good news ! No seizure tonight...thank God!
Feeling worn out from the one last night, but very happy to have made it this far tonight. I've been reading alot on the site and it's reassuring to know that we're not in this alone. I can't really say I felt alone as much as I felt like people were trying to understand but yet really didn't because they hadn't experienced it. I was thankful that so many shared the details of what you experience in a seizure or aura. It has helped me to gauge my own seizure activity.

I must say I read something in the admin. bulletins about women and seizures and was disappointed to say the least. The seizures I experience generally follow my cycle. And with that in mind everyone who knows me keeps saying well they'll probably stop when you go thru menopause. From what I read today.... that's not always the case. That was rather discouraging to read.

I dont know if I mentioned this before, but there are docs that specialize in " Catamenial Seizure " disorder.. I went to one a couple of years ago.... She moved to California now... But if you can find one, they are very helpful.... even a good GYN might be able to work with your neurologist... that is who told me the word Catamenial... my GYN.... I never knew there was such a thing till a couple of years ago...
it is a thought :-)

thanks for the info. My DD does have more seizures around her cycle, too. Sorry to hear that yours might not ease up with menopause.....figures, though, Epilepsy does not seem to follow what makes sense....

Glad you had a good night with none!! Hang in there!
