I frequent this site alot and it gives me a lot of information about living with epilepsy and I know the pain that so many of you speak of, it is very difficult to deal with to say the least so this is what I have done so that I will be living with epilepsy without it dictating my life (I did not believe this was possible and that is why I was so miserable). Ok you know your limitations and they vary on a case by case scenario (no driving, no swimming, no strobe lights etc.....) SO WHAT! yes there are things that we cannot do and things we should not do. When you step back and look at how vast this world is it tends to depress you at all the things we cant do but what about all the things you can do (this is where you must dig deap...only you know)?
Get in shape physically (this hard but this is a must but you will think straighter)
Get in shape mentally (put things in perspective) go ahead and say it OUTLOUD! "I am going to do this" you know what you aspire to do.
I still have seizures and alot of meds, I still have to re-learn things constantly (25years now), I fight mood swings, and some really bad physical pain....but you have to live or your dead. We all have one thing in common on this site so please dont brush me off as "SUPER LIFER" I am just someone that wants to pass on some words of encouragement.
Now go have a great weekend and find something/someone that blows your hair back and live.
