Hi Im new so please be patient with me ... im 41 and have been epileptic since I was 5 years old ( I had encephilitus) things were not too bad for me till me and my partner decided to try for a baby ...
Im now 20 weeks pregnant and my seizures anre uncontrollable which is very very upsetting and demanding on both of us ... my neurologist wants to do a telemetory scan but that will mean travelling to London which is along way for me to go and will mean I cant see my partner.  The stress of all of this going on is not helping me atm and I really dont know what to do.  Can anyone offer some glimmer of hope??????????????

I am so sorry the pregnancy is not going easily!! Even though it is far to travel, having that telemetry (eeg I am assuming) might help the doctor see what is going on and know what is best to do next.

You do need to take care of yourself and that baby. I am sorry it is so stressful. You are half way through, at least, so that is good. I know it seeems so long to go another 20 or so weeks, though...

I hope you can find a way to calm the seizures down and do better for the rest of your pregnancy. Hormone changes can sometimes wreak havoc on you......

Take care!

Sorry for the bumps in your pregnancy, you do need to try to find a way to will help your baby and will definately help with your seizures...i don't know what kind you suffer from and i'm not sure what that test is, but think for the best, i was wondering where you lived i am about 45 minutes from london, they are really good there....i was fortunate enough to be able to go off of my meds when i was pregnant all three seizures are out of control when i am stressed, low on sleep and have my i guess not having my period helped a little, also fortunately my husband and I made the choice that i would be a stay at home mom so i've been lucky enough to get lots of rest throughout my pregnancy, it helped huge....take care
