hello! I think I may have been experiencing some seizures, maybe simple partial from what I have researched? I have not been to a doctor yet for this reason but I was looking for some feedback from this awesome community!
First some history.. These "episodes" started happening about three years ago, but I have experienced one symptom (one specific strange smell) for as long as I can absolutely remember or at least from about the age of 6. I am 22 now and a female. The other day I had about 50 episodes in one hour which is the most it has ever happened. Scared, I wrote down all of the symptoms I could think of so here they are, copy and pasted from what I already wrote.
Just had about 50 episodes in one hour.
Feels like a seizure in my brain.
Indescribable feeling.
Not a bad feeling but not good either.
Makes me have to close my eyes mainly the left one and put my head down to the left.
Rising in stomach.
Weird electronic smell. (Been having at least since first grade)
Medication like Benadryl and Vicodin make it worse.
Derealization. Brain fog.
Gravity seems to get heavier.
Things seem one dimensional.
Feel like I can't even recognize very familiar places.
Can't speak.
Zoning out.
I know that was lengthy but thank you for your time and any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.

Also I experience horrible bouts of derealization almost daily and I am not sure if it is related to the possible seizures or not. I have it so bad that it interferes with my life on a major level

Hi,

I'm sure someone who knows much more about this than me will be along but I experience most of the things you're talking about and I see a neuro next month.

For me my brain feels like it shifts and it feels "wavy" then I go in to not recognizing familiar places, brain fog, can't speak or it feels like I can't speak, things slow down, I sometimes get nausea, electricity and twitching in my arms and fingers but that's only happened a few times.

You say your head went to the left, last Sunday I suddenly closed my eyes and my head fell down, I could not open my eyes and I wanted to shout out, when I could open them I was told I was staring weirdly like a deer in a headlight, I knew I was doing it but couldn't get out of it.

I feel like I'm not me or in a dream or something, very weird.

One Dr said it's either seizures or complex migraines!

Hope you get answers as it is scary.

Sure, sounds like seizures, have you seen a doctor, if not, why not?

Deja Vu is a common symptom of my Temporal Lobe seizures, when I was having the seizure, it stared out as Deja Vu, progressed into memory disruptions, lasted about 15 minutes, left with with a mild depression and confusion that quickly resolved. I was always able to walk around, even drove (didn't know I was having seizures).

Over the years they grew worse, started to get aphasia (couldn't speak) and anesthesia of the throat. To this day, even medicated, I get seizure swallows (my term) as infrequently I swallow when I wasn't planning on it. Imaging my sulfide when I was gargling with Listerine and I swallowed it. Thankfully the instructions say to seek help if you swallow more than you would gargle with.

Feeling a sensation in your stomach and noticing an odor that isn't really there are symptoms of seizures as well.

So, why haven't you visited a doctor. As Thundercloud said, some migraine symptoms are similar to seizure symptoms. See a professional. I suffered for over 15 years without a diagnosis, and when diagnosed and medicated, my symptoms went away practically over night.
