Hi everyone,

I had the weirdest thing happen to me last night, and I'm thinking there's a chance it could have been a simple partial seizure.

BACKGROUND:
I've never had a seizure before. I started on antidepressants (for depression and anxiety) 2 weeks ago (escitalopram - known as Cipralex and Lexapro), which I know can slightly increase the risk of a seizure. I've been on this medication before and it didn't give me any issues then.

INCIDENT:
So last night I woke up after having been asleep for a couple of hours, and heard really weird noises coming from outside. I couldn't tell if it was drunk people or weird cat noises. But for some reason these noises scared me SO much - I felt really intense fear (which I knew was irrational since I'm in very safe in my apartment and neighbourhood). I tried to ignore it and go back to sleep but my entire body felt SO weird and flooded with a really weird floating and shaking feeling, and my eyes were kind of shaking and if I closed my eyes my vision was weird and my eyes were moving. I felt super super nauseous, too, and I felt like I was going to die or that I was having a seizure. This lasted intensely for maybe 2 minutes before I had an intense urge to get up and go to the bathroom, where I did some business and then stared at the floor and tried breathing deeply.

Afterwards I felt anxious but wasn't feeling floaty or anything anymore. I just watched some youtube videos to take my mind off of it and then went to bed.

It was really weird... this morning I just feel anxious and strange. I've had panic attacks before, but they lasted for at least 20 minutes, with a lot of crying and no floaty feelings. That's why I'm convinced this could have been some sort of minor seizure.

Please feel free to share your experiences with simple partial seizures, or any thought you may have!
Thanks so much :)
