My son is 10 months old and over the past few months I have noticed his head moving from side to side. It has been getting worse over the past few weeks and it seems to be getting more aggressive. My bf seems to think it's just a habit that he's got himself into. I called my epilepsy nurse and because 2 people in my family have been diagnosed with 2 types of genetic epilepsy he is being sent for an EEG. I've been looking for symptoms of this type of epilepsy on the net and it Tourettes seems to be coming up all the time. I know that an EEG can pick up Tourettes as well as epilepsy but if an abnormality was to show up on the EEG will they be able to tell what it is and will they tell me?
I'm so very worried about this and really need some help. confused

I don't know.  I didn't know EEGs can pick up Tourettes.  When is he getting one?  And how do they do it for babies? How do they keep him from pulling the things off?

Let us know what it says.
