The neuro upped her trileptal to 1 300 in the morning and 2 at night along with her 1500 keppra twice a day. Also gave her 10 mg lexapro per day.

Gave her info on VNS implant. Anyone have this. She like that it might give her some control, if she feels one coming on she can activate it. Any info and or advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Oh yeah she's back on homebound until something happens that is closer to control. But, they didn't try to talk me into dropping her core classes like they did last time. They said they would come up with accomodations like taping her spanish class. Here's hoping.

Okay my friend who I talk to about once a month , who moved out of town and wroks for a ped neuro says Kimmy's doctor is crazy and should not do VNS, she has only tried 2 drugs. He says she been uncontrolled so long that this is a good option. She says he should be more aggressive and I should tell him so.  He has never performed a blood level on her. That makes my friend mad too.

Advice?

Thanks Mandi Ann,

I thought it was extreme but he was really talking it up to Kimmy. There's only one other neuro in town who takes peds and it takes months to get into see him. I might call a neuro and tell them she's 15 and see if they'll take her. We have no epi's in here from what I've been told.

I'm going to talk to her new PCP he seems great. Maybe he can give me advice as to where to go from here.

THANKS, and you can tell me how you feel about thanks, that's why I post. You guys are the greatest.
