I talked to the nurse today.  I couldn't get hold of my neuro directly.  For years I have been told I have both non-epileptic and epileptic seizures.  I told her I had two of what I have been told are NES during the EEG and they showed up on it. When she called back she said the doctor said they are epileptic.  Part of me is relieved since I have always felt I was not having emotional problems causing seizures (which is how people, in my experience, with NES are treated).  I think that because I used to have depression, that some doctor decided that even though my EEG is abnormal, that the seizures that were not 'normal' seizures were NES, and the others were epileptic.   Part of me is angry at being told they were NES.  But I guess the overall emotion is relief.  Because my first seizure was 10 years ago. For most of that time I've been told I also have NES.
Does anyone here have Jacksonian seizures?  If so let me please let me know.  The nurse asked me what kind I thought I had and I told her that judging from what the internet says I think I have myoclonic and Jacksonian.  She didn't say anything when she called me back after talking to the doctor so I have no idea if I'm right or not.
Have a great night!
