On 2/9 a resection of the abnormal brain cells in my right frontal temporal area of my brain causing my szrs was performed. I had to stay in the hospital for an additional 2 weeks because I had some apraxia, decrease proprioception and slight hemiparesis of my left side.

Apraxia: loss or impairment of the ability to execute complex coordinated movements without impairment of the muscles or senses.

Proprioception: perception of stimuli relating to position, posture, equilibrium, or internal condition.

Hemiparesiis: the paralysis of one side of the body.

At first I could not walk without a walker, but each day in therapy I regained more motor skills and better coordination for my left side.  Although my sensation is decreased (hemiparesis) it goes hand in hand with coordination.  My fine motor skills in my left hand are not so fine, but are 40-55 % closer to back to normal.  I would like to know if anyone has had to regain sensation and fine motor and how long it took.  I do not expect to run anytime soon but I see the progress with my leg more so than my sensation.  I use my left hand for everything to help my brain relearn what it can but I know it will be much better once the sensation returns.  If anyone has any words or info they want to share, it is greatly appreciated.
