Hi Kenny,

Glad you found us. This is a great place to get advice or just have a moan to people who'll understand. It can be frustrating, I know, to not have many around you who really know what you're going through. Sounds like your sister is a great comfort though.

P.S. Are you really a yuppie? I thought they went out in the 1980's. Or are they making a revival, along with Pac Man and Duran Duran?

Regards,
Andrew

haha! well, im not a real yuppie! when i was younger... in high school people would call me a yuppie. its been my nick name ever since.

a bit more about me... my parents first noticed something different about me when i was really young, i would "space out" but they thought i might just have an over active imagination. my parents didnt think much of my "spacing out" until i had a grand mal seizure. i was put on several different types of medication (im not even going to try to name them all) and nothing really worked well enough until i was around age 10. i was seizure free for 6 years when out of the blue i had one in class... i lost a lot of friends in high school because of it. from then until now, ive been having several seizures a week, it varies though. for a while i had trouble telling people i had epilepsy because of my experience with how people react, but now i dont care as much. if people are worth my time theyll look past it.

yes, liz is a life saver! shes 19 and i can say this without shame, shes my best friend. shes been there for me through hell... sometimes i feel bad for having put her through so much, but she never complains. liz if youre reading this, i love you. :)
if you have any questions ask away! anyone from california? la area?
