hello, my wife has extreme pain in her forhead that goes on for sometimes 10 days at a time, she doesnt want to move, eat, sleep (the room spins when she closes her eyes) or even talk because she says the vibration hurts her head. on top of that she throws up and is nausous constantly.

How long has this been going on? she is 27 and the migraines have been going on for about 10 years, they started out as a mild headache, progressively getting worse. Shes never had seizures until a couple of months ago when she had two grand mal in the same day, then a few inbetween then and now, doctors have no clue.
Has she had any head trama lately? no

We've been to probly 10 neurology clinics, TMJ specialist, sinus specialists, multiple cat scans, mris, eegs, ekgs, the '7 migrain meds', we've even had to get a spinal tap done to see if there is an infection of the brain. all come back normal and meds dont work.

shes taken from what i can remember:
paxil, wellbutrin, topeimax, ellavil, lyrica, coreg, zoloft, relpax, zonegran, cymbalta, i cant remember them all but also a bunch of beta blockers, for her migrains. only kepra for her seizures, it seems to be working some, although shes had a few since

i'm looking for some help, suggestion of things that help you, a doctor who can do something, ANYTHING! i live in tennesse in the US and am willing to travel anywhere to get her treatment.

*update, i've been told by one of the ladies on this forum that it could be hormones, i'm taking her to the doctor next week to get that checked out. (shes been on the depo birth control shot for 6 or 7 years now)

thank you for your views and comments, it means an infinite amount to me.

mandiann,

just for an update, her doctor has a nurse comming out to our house now, giving her whats called 'IV therapy' its a few drugs 1 time a day for 3 days. it seems to be helping, my wife said her pain went from a 9 on the scale of 1-10 to a 5. she can actually function now! even tho she is still in quite a bit of pain it feels like 10,000 pounds off my chest. the nurse actually said the same thing you did, about the hormones. i'll post an update as soon as we get that checked.

thank you =)

TabooCrime when I ran out of epilepsy meds I went looking at alternative medicine.

I hope your wife finds the answer thru hormone treatment or alternative medicine wether it be diet, herbs, homepathy or acupuncture.

Best wishes

Riva
