My son was diagnosised with epilepsy back when he was 8 years old. ... Grand mal... 30-45 minutes after he went to sleep.  He is now 13 years old... over 16 months ago I took him off his meds....and he has not had a seizure since.
Over the last 6 weeks he has had 3 episodes that he complains to me of a terrible headache...tells me he is nauseas, he lays down, throws up once, goes to sleep and an hour or two later is fine.
My first thought is maybe blood sugar problems.  But now I am wondering if I should contact his neurologist because maybe it is related to the epilepsy? or maybe something new, Migrains?
Does anyone have similar problems??  I am worried that my regular physician is not going to take me seriously.
There just is no way that he could get some kind of stomach bug, with no fever, lasting only a couple of hours, 3 times over the last 6 weeks and  no one else in the house get sick (there are 6 of us.)
Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Hi Jolene... It does sound somewhat like a migraine... how long does the headaches last? Is he sensitive to light when his head hurts? I would consult his neuro, just to be safe... Why do you think that your regular physician wouldn't take you seriously? Is your regular doc aware of your sons epilepsy? Hang in there... we'll get you through this...
