Hi everyone,

I was wondering what people think to the idea of having regular webchats? I would be prepared to do a webchat once a month or maybe once a fortnight, with an open topic (unless someeone comes up with a specific topic they want). What do people think? Should we have webchats at all? Do we need them? If so, how often? If nobody wants them then thats fine too... Im just testing the water here. I will try and put a poll on this thread as well so that people can vote, making it easier for me to see what people think. Because in a weeks time, I dont really want to have to re-read every response.

Your input would be appreciated

Darren

Well its been just over 2 weeks since I posted this thread and there has been a total of 2 votes!!! Im guessing this isnt a popular idea at the moment since 73 people have looked at the thread but have made no response. However, if you want to email / chat to me just drop me a line using the email link on the left.

Best Wishes to all

Darren

Darren,

I actually think it would be a great idea, but pinning down a time that would work for everyone since we seem to be all over the world would be a problem.

You are doing a great job!

I agree that time is an issue. Because im in the UK, im kind of in the middle. (Depending on how you look at the world I suppose!) I was thinking that if the idea was popular, maybe we could do 2. One that was better for the US and on that was better for the Eastern countries. (China, Australia etc...) Most european countries would be able to fit in around that. Most people on the forum dont seem to want them anyway so its all irrelevant. Maybe in months to come, people will change their mind.

Thanks for your response

Darren

Following a request, I am looking at what people think about regular web chats again. Do we have any takers this time?

Darren - Thankyou for the opportunity to vote for regular epilepsy chats. What does every "fortnight" mean? Every fourth night?  In my opinion, having an epilepsy chat every 2 weeks (2 times a month) would be great.  Just once a month would certainly be better than none. All the best, my friend!

                                Thanks,

                                  Rooz

Hi Rooz,

A fortnight is 2 weeks. So if I understand you correctly, this is what you are asking for. A chat once a fornight (once every 2 weeks)

I am going to schedule a chat for Saturday the 14th at 16.00 (UK Time) I think this should allow for most people to attend. It is a 2 hour slot just before the Prostate Cancer chat starts at 18.00. Everyone is welcome.

Darren

Sorry... I meant to include times for other time zones and forgot! So here they are (Assumung I have worked them out correctly... If there are any mistakes PLEASE tell me):

08.00 - 10.00 --> Pacific Time
09.00 - 11.00 --> Mountain Time
10.00 - 12.00 --> Central Time
11.00 - 13.00 --> Eastern Time
16.00 - 18.00 --> UK time
19.00 - 21.00 --> GMT +3 (Russia, Iraq etc...)

Hi Guys,

I know this is VERY short notice, but I think I have made a mistake in the times of the web chat. They all work except for the fact that the UK is NOT on GMT at the moment. Its summer so its BST! (Basically GMT+1) We can still hold the web chat but it means we can only have 1 hr since there is a prostate chat booked in directly after us. Please note that this DOES NOT change the start time of the chat for anyone except those in the BST time zone. (The UK). The new times are as follows:

08.00 - 09.00 --> Pacific Time
09.00 - 10.00 --> Mountain Time
10.00 - 11.00 --> Central Time
11.00 - 12.00 --> Eastern Time
17.00 - 18.00 --> UK time
19.00 - 20.00 --> GMT +3 (Russia, Iraq etc...)

Many appologies for the confusion. I have found a good website for time zone conversion so this does not happen in future!
