I'm so sorry that you had such a rough time of it.  I think I'd start searching for another job that doesn't require heavy lifting.  That does my muscles in quickly, too.  It does sound like too much for a person with fibromyalgia.  I hope you feel better soon.

Congratulations on the new baby.  I think you have a lot going on right now, you are going to feel tired, just from having a small one in the house.  I agree with Sherrine, you need to find a different job.  Fibro and heaving lifting don't mix.  You need to contact your doctor, he/she may be able to help you in some way.  The best advice I can give is to look for a new job right away and get help at home so that you can rest up until you can find a better job.

I hope you find help soon!

Maybe you would qualify for disability. I am going to reapply. I got denied because I was seeing a physicians assistant instead of a doctor. I am seeing a doctor now. I know I surely couldn't do your job. That sounds like it is really hard.

You might get stronger as you go though. But like the others said, I would look for something easier. I wish you luck with the situation.

hugs, Karen...

Merfy, you are standing on your feet right now at your job plus you are lifting, too!  You could look for jobs as a receptionist and use the stretching exercises on the Fibro 101 thread to keep the muscles flexible.  They are done sitting down.  Usually there is filing involved and that would get you up and down frequently.  It sure would beat heavy lifting in my humble opinion.
