Wow, I have spent the last couple days enjoying the Pnemonia, Fibro combo. The rib and chest pain has been phenominal!!

I seem to have had it for a while but I thought it was Fm until the fevers started. My DW has been concerned that I would not realize I am sick, ie heart problems, because of the fibro. This pnemonia thing kinda proved her right. It could have gotten really bad and all along I thought it was my Fibro......

I know everyone else is in the same boat. It is something this 36 year old man is just starting to realize.

I hope you get better fast Jokat. Ouch, that has to smart coughing with the ribs.

I think we have to know our bodies even better than most people to be able to tell the difference. That's why I say every new symptom needs to be ran by our docs.

Take care of yourself.
luv and hugs

JoKat, I'm sorry you are going through this.  Coughing is really horrible with fibro and I know you are coughing. Feel better!

When I started the chest pains and heart palpatations, I went to my doctor and he did an electrocardiogram, and echocardiogram, an ultrasound of my heart and had me wear a heart monitor for 24 hours.  My heart was just fine so I do know it is fibro.  If I get a more severe pain in my chest or pain suddenly running down my left arm or up into my neck....pain that I don't usually have...I'll be heading to the doctor again.  So, I would suggest that you get thoroughly checked out and then  you'll have a better idea as to when/if to see your doctor.  It will ease your wife's mind.

Hope you start feeling better soon!
