Hi Poco, don't blame you for being upset, SOME drs.?!?! The list you are looking for is located on the first page, second line down, Fibro 101. Read thru all the listing there, very helpful. Re the fever, or lack of one. Each time I had been in dr office, even w/ pneumonia, told my temp was fine. It turns out my temp runs low 94.6 - 96.6 so when I do have a fever I run about 98.6 - 99.0. Check your temp in the morning, before you get up. I also include that in my list of symptoms. Put down everything you have going on, whether it's on the Fibro list or not. There might be other things going on besides FMS. Not said to scare you, just to prepare you. Let's hope all your tests come back negative, that helps to ID FMS, too.
Most of us have other stuff going on in addition to FMS, it isn't fun at all. Stress can make everything worse, try to calm yourself for yourself, not for the dr. If it's FMS, it isn't going away anytime soon, we have to find ways to help relieve our stress. Exercise, talking to ppl that understand, prayer, meditation, a cuppa tea, hot shower, heating pad, reading a good book, an outing w/ a trusted friend, a hobby, spending lots and lots of money at the mall, oops forget I said that. lol
We all get frustrated when we want answers and they are slow to come. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
God bless. Alice
((((hugs for Poco))))
Hi, I am visiting from the Crohn's forum. I just wanted to stop and give you a virtual hug poco. I completely understand your frustration. I too am on this quest to figure out what is going on with my body and when different tests come back negative, I get the feeling they just want to leave at "it's in your head, here have a prescription for that". And it is very frustrating. So, as others have suggested, try to relax - and then do as much as you can to be proactive. Which it sounds like you're doing...so, you're on the right path! Keep your head up and keep listening to your body
