Hi - I started doing a detox body cleanse each month and it helps me feel better. I was skeptical at first because I have IBS-D, but it didn't seem to aggravate the condition. There are also a lot of good books about detoxing out there.
I'm new at this site. I was told I had fibro by more than one medical provider. I didn't want to except it. My Mom has had fibro for years and suffers greatly. I'm totally into natural cures so I did some research. What works best for me is to avoid foods with preservatives. A salad bar is a definite no-no for me. I read one of my Mom's books on food cures. Vitamin E is an antioxidant. Selenium is also. You can get it as magnesium w/selenim suppliment or try Metamucile w/selenium. If you have digestive problems cut the water in half when taking Metamucile. (Not sure if I'm spelling it right) CoQ1o is also a powerful antioxidant. All of these vitamin suppliments can be found in the foods we eat. Check out realage.com website for a list of vitamins and the foods that contain them. I have gone so far as to buy very few prepared foods. We grow mostly our own and then can or freeze them. All of the above has helped me greatly. It costs almost nothing. If you are on meds you will want to talk to your doctor before adding any vitamin suppliments. I live in Iowa and we're getting a natural sauna today. 82 degrees with 73% humidity today. But, I love it.
I love Red Skelton! My favorites are Carol Burnett and Bill Cosby. When I was a little girl I got so embarrassed when Lucy was on that I had to leave the room. It was painful for me. The queen of comedy made me hurt! Go figure.
Red Skelton was the best! I actually got to see him in 1990...I bought tickets for xmas presents for my dad,(who died 2 weeks later) my Mom, my best friend, my boyfriend, and my teenage son. They all just loved it! That was one of the best times of my life! Red Skelton never had to resort to foul language or "shock" comedy that we so often see these days. I loved him.
