Hey Marlee,
YES! I felt bad also after they got those areas popped and released those dirty toxins into my bloodstream (But, it helped me alot to get rid of them)
One thing I have found to help get rid of toxins is cayenne peppers aka red pepper, in any form you can take it. I took it in a capsule form from the supplement area and it really helped alot. I just cant afford any more meds right now though. They arent that expensive but I am on an extremely tight budget. (but who isnt these days?)So, I now sprinkle  a tad of cayenne into alot of my recipies when I cook. (usually not alot as  it can get a tad spicy), but if I am feeling extremely toxic i will add more! If anyone else has a good idea to get rid of toxins I am all eyes! lol. Because of all the meds I have to take for all my diagnoses, my body is full of toxins.Btw...I drink ALOT of water as it is what I drink with meals and I always have water by my bed.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or ideas,
Breath

Breath, I'm having a massage next week.  I know massages help but they are expensive but I'll ask my massage therapist for suggestions to get rid of toxins.  She is very smart and knows a lot about things like that.  I'll get back to you.

Hi - I started doing a detox body cleanse each month and it helps me feel better. I was skeptical at first because I have IBS-D, but it didn't seem to aggravate the condition. There are also a lot of good books about detoxing out there.

Take care!

Well I used to belong to this group that had their own sweat lodge. We'd do sweat cleansing every now and then. It certainly had an effect on me. I'd go into detox an hour or so afterward.

I'm assuming that most people don't have access to sweat lodges. Maybe you could use the sauna in a gym. Or you could just let the shower run as hot as you can until the bathroom fills up with steam.

I cant afford a gym or sauna but thank you so much.

Hi,

I'm new at this site.   I was told I had fibro by more than one medical provider.  I didn't want to except it.  My Mom has had fibro for years and suffers greatly.  I'm totally into natural cures so I did some research.  What works best for me is to avoid foods with preservatives.  A salad bar is a definite no-no for me.  I read one of my Mom's books on food cures.   Vitamin E is an antioxidant.  Selenium is also.  You can get it as magnesium w/selenim suppliment or try Metamucile w/selenium.  If you have digestive problems cut the water in half when taking Metamucile.  (Not sure if I'm spelling it right)  CoQ1o is also a powerful antioxidant.    All of these vitamin suppliments can be found in the foods we eat.  Check out realage.com website for a list of vitamins and the foods that contain them.  I have gone so far as to buy very few prepared foods.  We grow mostly our own and then can or freeze them.  All of the above has helped me greatly.  It costs almost nothing.  If you are on meds you will want to talk to your doctor before adding any vitamin suppliments.  I live in Iowa and we're getting a natural sauna today.  82 degrees with 73% humidity today.  But, I love it.

Breath, being a preacher's wife, I've heard some doozies.  I know exactly the saying you were meaning before you modified it..

You all make me feel so much better.  I couldn't wait until I could get dinner over tonight and sit down to my computer to catch up on all the post.

Thanks to everyone tonight!!!!!!

God Bless!

Laughter and my weird sometimes caustic sense of humor is what gets me thru all of this. (I also have ALOT of The Three Stooges dvd's to watch, also I have even more or Red Skelton dvds!)

Hey Breathofsighs,

I love Red Skelton! My favorites are Carol Burnett and Bill Cosby. When I was a little girl I got so embarrassed when Lucy was on that I had to leave the room. It was painful for me. The queen of comedy made me hurt!  Go figure.

Red Skelton was the best! I actually got to see him in 1990...I bought tickets for xmas presents for my dad,(who died 2 weeks later) my Mom, my best friend, my boyfriend, and my teenage son. They all just loved it! That was one of the best times of my life! Red Skelton never had to resort to foul language or "shock" comedy that we so often see these days. I loved him.

Breath,
My Dad loved him too. I remember watching him on TV with my Mom and Dad. They are both gone now. Have a great Sunday.

This is a great subject Breath. I've been a little behind in the past couple of weeks. I do feel like my body is a toxic dump that should be outlawed. skull

I'm curious to what your massage therapist has to say about getting rid of the toxic waste Sherrine. I haven't had a massage for awhile cause I have had too much going on to be down for days feeling like crap afterwards.

Hi Hostas and Booboos and welcome to our family.

My dad loved Red Skelton too. That memory makes me a little sad.

awwww, Thanks Chuzzle....,
Marlee, I do understand that feeling.
I also love Andy Griffith Show! SO many great characters. I actually named my son andrew and call himAndy after him. I mean who doesnt like Andy Griffith? It has been a good name for him. (my son I mean) lol. Mayberry is my kind of town. I just cant decide which character (other than Andy) I like the best! To this day I still watch that show. I just wish they would start rerunning the Red skelton, Carol Burnett kind of shows again.

Those old shows were wonderful.  I, too, loved Red Skelton, Andy Griffith, and Carol Burnett.  I wish they'd bring back the old Saturday Night Live with Chevy Chase, Gilda Radner, etc.  Golly, she was soo funny!  I just lovec her  Roseanne Rosannadanna character!  "It's always something...."

I'm glad I grew up during the years of the good tv shows.  Things have changed so much since then and I sometimes think I would like to go back to those days, but what would I do without internet and my Fibro friends?????  I sure would miss them.

Breath, not trying to hijack your thread cause I do hope some have some good ideas on detoxing but the old cartoons were the greatest too.

I don't want to give up modern technology and go back to moving those rabbit ears all the time to watch those shows. I know you can buy some of them on dvds. I know I have seen Red Skelton but it would be too painful for me to watch them, I can still hear my dad laughing while watching it.
