Give me the strenght to get through this day.  What was I thinking?  nono   Late last week I told oldest ds that he could have some friends sleep over today.  Kinda like an end of summer bash before they go back to school next week.  I worked really hard at my last 2 shifts at the restaurant (the new GM is psychotic and cuts everyone so early.  More money in my pocket, but I can't run a 10 table section anymore)  So it wasn't surprising that my fatigue and pain levels skyrocketed yesterday.  I was even too tired to have my shower last night.  I always shower when the kids are in bed, and it gives me more time in the am.  So I was having a lazy morning so far, when oldest ds goes rocketing by making even more noise than usual (he sounds like he's 6 kids rolled into one)  "What the blazes are you doing?!"  Turns out he's re-enacting battle scenes from the new Star Wars movie I took them to last week, where we had bumped into said friend and invited him to the sleep-over.  He's practicing for when they get to play today.  smhair   I had forgotten all about it!  So I start getting my morning stuff done, very late.  The 2 middle ones are fighting again. I go shower, the baby pulled out all my towels and stuffed some in the toilet.  And I still need to get the trailer set up for them tonight.  AND the stupid weather is still too cold for summer, so I can't even open up the pool for them today!  Oh, and dh is working late today, of course.
Sigh, breaks's over, better get back to work.  Wish me luck!  If I don't check back in in a couple days, count me as a casualty of the Clone Wars.  They will have won! shocked Where can I get reinforcements?

ahhhhhh yes...boys......... rolleyes    you are bringing back some memories with the star wars thingy!!!  yep...our little boys are hero's in size 6x clothes eh?? tongue tongue tongue    I would just suggest that if they want to be inside..then movies and snacks are on the agenda....star wars re-enactment..outdoors only!!  Other than that..I got nothing smilewinkgrin    Maybe the chaotic start to your day will lessen as the day progresses. I'm sorry if I seem unsympathetic..I'm not..I just remember it soooo well and I thank God that He let me stay healthy while the boys were still so young. The weather has turned very cool here too...where are ya?  I can come and  help maybe idea

Oh my, you are brave. Being the mother of three boys I remember those days well but I was still healthy. Is there anyone you can call to help??? Maybe a teenage girl or boy that you know well. How many of these little darlings are you going to have??? Movies might help but knowing boys they will have to be acting out the movie as they watch them.
I would be begging and pleading for help from someone. yeah I had my 11 and 9 yr old grandsons together for one night this summer and was calling the 9 yr old's dad to come and get him the next morning cause I couldn't handle them together.
Good luck and I hope you make it back to us. tongue Feed them turkey and no sugar or caffeine.
luv and hugs

Things have gone well so far, we made it through supper already! There is only 1 boy that came, the other cancelled at the last minute. The kids have played outside for most of the day, even braved the pool! Adn I even felt well enough to enjoy the fresh air too. The only time I started feelign too fatigued was when we took a walk to the store, it's a big hill on the way back. They are back out now. Later when they come in will be time for the movie.... in the trailer... so they can be as loud as they want. But it is a tight squeeze, not too many reenactments, lol.

Ericsmom (it's Diane, isn't it?) I think you could have come to help, or at least for a coffee. I think I'm only a couple hours away from you. I live near Sudbury, you are around Bracebridge, right? Or am I thinking of someone else? Heroes in size 6 clothes, lol, I love that!

Marlee, 3 boys.... what were your grocery bills like? My oldest and his friend tried to outdo each other tonight. They each had 2 burgers and a hotdog! Too late for the sugar and caffeine, lol. At the store they picked out Cokes and their candies and chips for tonight. If they are too wired to sleep tonight, maybe that means they will sleep in tomorrow? One can only hope.

This reminds me, I have a house full of girls coming this weekend. Friday, 8 teenagers. Saturday five 10 year olds. Friday should be ok, maybe a little loud (I have my earplugs ready) but Saturday will be tough. One of the girls is a little difficult, very loud. She is a nice kid but a real handful. All three of my girls have summer birthdays and we always let them have a celebration with their friends. I have been to tired to have the kids over and it's this weekend or not at all, I don't want to disappoint them so I will suck it up and suffer later (anything for the kids).

I hope you survive the sleepover.

I know I sound like a wet blanket, but you will miss these events one day. My house is quiet and orderly... and mostly empty of children's laughter until the grandkids show up. The best thing about these parties is you can make popcorn or a batch of brownies while they are there and they think it's awesome. And a mountain of pancakes will fill them up in the morning. Now I always have leftover pancakes when I make them. I almost envy you all.
