I just lost this long post I just did!!! mad
Anyway, the visit went good. I really like my Dr. He is going to have me do a MRI and a MRA of my head to see what is going on with headeachs.  He has prescribed TopAMAX 25 mg's once at night for the next 10 days to see how that goes. He also thinks I have Migranes in addition to Fibro. He wants me to try Relpax and Treximet to see if they do anything for my headache's. (Not together just one when I get a headeach to see if that helps any).
I have to talk to KHE to see if I can get an open MRI as they normally just want you to go to the hospital where there is a closed MRI, with my anxiety, I just don't think I can do a closed MRI again.
I think I like this doctor. He also filled out the paper work for my short term disability. They still haven't told me if I've been approved yet rolleyes . Its been 2 weeks (the first week I had to cover with any vacation time for this year that I had left) and then the remaining time is covered by STD. I also filled out for FMLA to protect my job for 12 weeks. I don't think I will be out for 12 weeks, but then again I'm not sure. I can tell you this, being out of work and not dealing with the stress there and the work is really helping me. I feel so much better, unless I forget to take the Lyrica, then I have alot of pain in my joints and shoulds. But by the endo o f the night no matter what, my back is killing me.
Just a day in the life.......

I'm so glad  you like your new doctor.  That is so important.  It sounds like he will work for you and not against you.  It's nice that they fill out the paperwork for you too.
Stress does add to the pain level of fibromyalgia.  When you go back to work, don't let things get to you so much.  Just do the best you can.  No one can ask more of a person.  If you do that, that should help your stress levels.

:-)  Hello Hopegirl,
I am on Topamax and it has really been working good for me, i do take two tablets at bed time 50mg each, I am on so many to keep the migraines at bay and the fibro flares under control and this summer nothing has helped.
I canceled my dr.visit to see if he would take me off work for a couple of weeks as my fibrofog is so bad and i am so tired and now i wished i din`t do that.
I hope it works out for you.
