Does anyone else get this? I have pain from my low ribs through my breast up to my shoulder. The tighness can be in the lower or upper breast or either sde, lasts a few minuets and moves. that has stopped and now have breast, low rib and upper chest pain with sore spots that hurt like crazy if I push on them. I swear everyday it is something with this DD. Been getting this a long time but do not know if it costro, fm or fibrocystic breast disease and am tired of guessing.
ALso have IBS.

Even had a EGD done and that was okay exceot for a small area of inflammation.

Thanks, Linda

My breast are sore ive arranged for a mammagram even though im sure its fibro, and as for the ribs, I get the most severe pain , like ive swallowed the wrong way and you can feel it going down except it spreads and covers all my upper ribs.  Luckily it doesnt last long, but my breast are permanantly tender.  Dont know if thats the same as you but I find my symptoms get increasingly weirder.  regards   sue2z confused confused confused

Linda, I don't know. From my waist up is pretty much one big sore and it stays that way. I also get sore breast and I'm 58 so fibrocystic breast disease should not be the cause of this. I get my yearly mammograms and everything is fine with them so it has to be part of fibro. I can see the chest wall being sore from the muscles but I don't know what causes the breast to be sore.

I had a massage last Sat and I'm so tight again it's like having my body bond with tape. The tender points are multiplying all the time.

Your right it's always something new with this DD.

luv and hugs

Thanks girls,

I am past menapause and they say fibrocystic breast disease goes away after that, but when I went for my pap earlier this year they found a breast lump. I had to go back to the Dr. in 2 weeks for a re-check, she felt nothing but sent me for a ultra sound, the tech said you are really fibrous and showed me what it looks like.
Everything was okay and even since had my yearly mammo. The pain and soreness cn really get bad, the tightness is just annoying.

My ribs are always tender and sore and my Dr. said any chest pain that you get and you push on the area and it hurts more is Fm or costro not your heart, but it sure can scare you at times.

Hugs, Linda

I hope this pain goes away. I have it and I am still in menopause.

Oh, the joys of fibromyalgia, if people only knew.

Linda, I have the same problem.  I was thoroughly check out for heart problems and had none, thank God!  So it was fibro for me.

My ribs can get so sore and it feels like there are tender points all over them...especially on my sides.  It makes it difficult to lie down but, once I do lie down thing settle in about five minutes and I can sleep.  Fibro is fun, huh?   shakehead
