hello. i new here and hope its the place to vent all my frustration an anger. i,ve had heart problems since i was 17 and have had to ops to correct problem, which did, but still heart is good and now they dont no what is wrong. they keep mucking around with my apps and gettting test results.(tests done in jan and they still didnt have results in june. all tha was supposed to be done before xmas 2007). was diagnosed with fm sept 3yrs ago. have severe pain, sleep apnea restless leg syndrome, exercise intolerence, dizzy spells, chemical intolerenecs, (so any medication im given you can guarentee i'll get the side effects). i was suffering from really bad period pains that would put me in bed for days, so i had a hysterectomy 6 months ago which was meant to make things a bit better, but i had a fibro flare after the op, and the pain has been about 80% worse since the op. i've got to go back to hos in 2 wks because pain in my belly is so bad when going to loo. had pnumonia while in hospital and have now been diagnosed with copd, (half of right lung is completely knackered and just has dead air in it). i have been given a seretide evohaler but all the stuff i seen on copd ive only seen brocidilators or bronchilhaler. im taking 4 tabs for heart. 3 for dizzy spells, 4 to help sleep and on average about 14/18 prescribed painkillers a day. im fed up at the end of my tether, feel useless because about all i can do is make tea. my husband is great though, but i feel i letting him down. he married a wife not a burden. he reassures me he said in sickness and in health, but aint my health starting to take the mick. can things get any worse.

Hi nextasy and welcome. You have a lot on your plate medically. My husband has repeated our wedding vows also "in sickness and in health". I know if it was him that had all the medical problems I would be saying the samething to him cause there is no guarantee when you get married even though you figure it will be simple things and nothing serious til you get old. Not always in the plan though.

Don't call yourself a burden you didn't ask for any of the illness you have gone through. I guess what keeps me from feeling like I'm a burden for my DH is the fact that I did so much for so many years and he got off pretty easy til fibro hit me as far as doing things around the house. Now that he has had to take over some of my duties he realizes how much I did do.

You have found a great group of people here that understand what you go through and we are always here for you. Read the fibro 101 thread, the second thread on the first page. It contains a great deal of info.

I'm sorry the sugery caused you so much pain but that sometimes happens with fibro. It intensifies normal pain. I have been lucky in not having to have surgery since I have had fibro.

I hope your docs get on the ball when it comes to the testing results, you might want to get cross with them to get action.

Hang in there.

luv and hugs

thanx for your support. i have got mad with them but most time end up crying. i dont wanna cry in front of my husband cos i dont wanna look weak. mum a great help but i dont wanna worry her cos my dad died extremely suddenly and unexpected and she was with him for most of her life, and we still havent come to terms with his death. she'd tell me off if she saw this though cos she wants me to go to her, but i have to play things down. i dont no weather to scream cry shout or just give up. i find myself just shutting down and keeping to my self. my husband and 17 yr old (who gives me attitude 24/7) are in the house all day (my husband gave up work to look after me) but i can go for hours without speaking to anyone. im surrounded by peope but i feel so lonely
