Hi, I am starting Cymbalta for FM (and migraines) and I'm curious to hear your experience with it. My major concerns are increased brain fog and weight gain. I'm hoping it'll help with my migraines especially because the Imitrex shot is getting TOO EXPENSIVE for my sometimes bi-weekly headaches.

Thanks!
Crohn's (diagnosed in 2006 and currently in remission), severe migraines, Seborrheic Derm., Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (1994), chronic pain, ulcers/GERD and possibly Fibromyalgia? Medications: Nexium, Pentasa, Percocet and Vicodin as needed, Flintstone Vitamins (my favorite part!), calcium and magnesium supplements, vitamin D once weekly. I follow a low fiber, low residue diet.

I am taking 90mg. of Cymbalta for the pain I have in my
arm muscles but so far no relief.
My Rheumatologist said she will increase it to 120mg. my next visit.
Sure hope it will help as the pain is intense.
I take fiorinal for my migraine headaches and if I start taking it
at the first twinge of pain it is helpful.
Hope this info helps a little.

Hi there, I take 60 mg of cymbalta every morning. I take it for depression and pain. I have been taking it ever since it came out. It has helped with pain, but it does not take it all away for me.

I have not gained any weight from being on it and I already had a lot of brain fog before I started it.

Hi there~  Ironiclly, I was put on Cymbalta for anxiety and migraines long before I was diagnosed with Fibro.  I shutter to think what I'd be feeling like without Cymbalta.  I don't recall wait gain, however I was on Webutrin prior to the Cymbalta, so I know that I carry wait because of medication to a certain degree.  I do know that it did decrease my migraines to the point of I don't recall the last time that I needed an imitrex.  Although, I admit I have cut out nearly all my known triggers (cheese, alcohal, red licerace, any MSG, cut back on chocolate etc...).  My husband and I have changed our eating to improve our families health and I feel better simply eating healthier.  Cymbalta stopped my anxiety and panic attacks trememdously.  I would never quit cymbalta.  I have a major problems with brain fog, but I really don't attribute it to cymbalta.  I take Tremadol for pain and it helps with headaches and I take Clanazpam for sleeping.  Forgive me I never could spell before, but now I dont' care... I know we all spell funny on this site. lol

Good luck,
Tricia
