Hi Kelly! I am so proud of you, girl, and so should you be!!!! Every single journey we take begins with but a single, simple step......the most important part of a journey is TAKING that first step. Wow, here's all my hopes and prayers for you to continue to be successful in this endeavor and here's hoping and praying that your stress and pain begins to ease real soon!

Gentlest of hugs,

John

There once was a girl name of Kelly
Who just did not want to be smelly.
She gave up her "cigs"
'Cause she's getting new "digs"
That serves Southern biscuits with jelly.

Kelly,
So happy for you! I quit about 16 years ago and sometimes when I see people smoke in the old movies... it looks so weird! (but I still miss it sometimes!) Don't be surprised if the habit sneaks up on you out of nowhere and kicks you in the head. My hubby drives a delivery truck and still reaches in his pocket for the pack most every time he gets back in the truck... Old habits just keep coming up. Me, quit in April and was doing fine... In June we went up north camping and once we got the site all set I was looking for a cigg! Hadn't had one in two months and was doing something that I always followed with a cigg so the habit kicked in again!

I was furious! mad Those nicotine receptors in the brain just never get over their last fix because they send tendrils into our memory base. Such a strange habit. Wish it was illegal so less kids would start up.... Anyway, KOKO!

Uh, thanks, Jeannie...I think. confused   LOL.  But, I know what you mean.  I get tempted everyday-especially lately, because I'm SO stressed out.  I think I stressed myself into a bad flare because yesterday I was just really sick. sad   Besides all the "usual" pain and fatigue, I had a sore throat, fever (I've been getting fevers a lot, lately), and I just couldn't move.  My physical therapist knew something was wrong, cause I wasn't talking.  I know...imagine ME, not talking! shocked

Anyway, at least my babbling has returned.  And, today it's been 35 days without a smoke! yeah

35 days!?!? thats awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just think too....a ciggarette would really rip your throat up...you should be sick less, and for a shorter duration if you are not smoking.

are you doing anything with the money you are saving not buying smokes? you shold stash it somewhere and treat yourself to something awesome when you feel like you have reached a big goal..say 45 days???

right on girl ;)
