Last night I got light headed, BP was fine blood sugar was fine, so just fibro. But then I got the weirdest feeling, about half way up my thighs I got a hot sensation that traveled up my body to about my breast. It was really warm but didn't last very long. This happened twice within an hour. I didn't feel the heat in the back of my body just the front.

For those that have had x-rays with contrast it was kinda like that but warmer.

I thought I had felt all the weird things that fibro could throw at me but this was really weird.

Has anyone else had this kind of feeling???

I feel at times especially in my legs that i am being shocked by something and at times it does go from legs all the way to my head then it leaves me feeling very sick to my stomach.

I wonder what causes all these weird sensations??? Something wacky in our brains maybe. turn Yes, Sherrine I'm admitting to being wacky. I know it's the strangest thing so far that I have felt.

I haven't had that particular symptom but I do get cold spots...feels almost like my skin is wet but it isn't.  That has been happening a lot lately.  I do get the lightheadedness, though.

You know, some of this could be stress, too.  We are all going through a lot these days so that could play into it, too.  If you feel otherwise like your fibro self, I wouldn't be too concerned.  If it continued, I'd mention it to the doctor.

Hope your wacky little self feels better soon!  devil

Marlee, I def. get lightheadedness- a lot lately. I am not sure about the heat thing...I get something similar...in the arms or legs sometimes...it is not very intense though. Isn't it hard to explain these WIERD symptoms to other people??? you know somethings not right...but you are not quite sure how to put it in words....ahhh fibro...

I wouldn't even try to explain any of this to someone that didn't have fibro except DH. I'm use to the light headedness but the heat was soooo strange. I'm use to hot flashes all over so maybe this is part of it. The bottom of my feet burn sometimes but it doesn't go away that fast. I don't worry about anything my body does anymore.

I do have an app with new rheumy Thurs so I will mention it.

Marlee, this has happened a few times to me.  I get lightheaded a lot and anytime I bend over or crouch down, I get very dizzy when I straighten up.  The sensation you describe, I have had but it only goes as far as my pelvic area and it hasn't happen enough for me to be concerned about.  It is a weird sensation though, definitly an attention getter. I will be interested to hear what your doctor says about it.

I get a "hot spot" on the front of my left thigh... and it's there for a while and then goes away. Very weird but now it's normal for me.

Gosh Marlee, no I have not. I do get light headed once in awhile. It just comes out of the blue.

I know what it is Marlee- it's just because you have such a "WARM" personality- smilewinkgrin

All kidding aside, I would not get too concerned unless it keeps happening and then it's probably this fibro anyways. GamJill

I get hot flashes Marlee ..... but not heat in one spot.
The hot flashes themselves are most strange to me as
I had a hysterectomy at thirty two and was not able to take
hormones so I had a lot of hot flashes.
So I already went through the hot flash stage many years ago
so not sure why they are happening now.
I also get hot and burning and tingling feet which I then dip in
a plastic bowl of cold water and ice cubes and it helps.
I have peripheral neuropathy so it is often that both my
hands and feet get tingly.
I do have lupus as well as other illness and lupus does
so many weird things.
Beginning to think my brain is short circuiting ..... lol
Hope the doctor can help you with the problem you are
having. Let us know what he says when you see him.

Awww thanks GamJill. It has only happened the two times so ............. I really think they need to do more studies on our brains. devil The wacky fibromite study.

My DH heard on TV that older people need more B12 to keep their brains from shrinking, oops too late for some of us. smilewinkgrin

I have been trying to answer posts for over a week nd everytime I log in and press reply, my system shuts completely off.

I don't know If this is what you are referring to but I get a feeling that starts at my feet goes up to the breast area, like a wave of sensation is the best way I can describe it. It is not pain but scares m it happens so quick, I immediately get really dizzy like I will pass out that only lasts a few seconds to a minuet.

Are we weird or is it the disease?

Hugs, Linda
