hHey everyone, and thank you all again for your encouragement to visit the doc and try to get to the bottom of this [no pun intended]. We agreed that I would try some new things prior to anything invasive. I get a dx of severe gastro intestinal distress, sleep deprivation and dehydration with mal-nutritive problem. He put me back om flexeril at my request, and will increase my cymbalta within 30 days if my pain does not decrease with the flexeril. Anyway, he was very helpful and I am appreciative of his attention and caring. I should be feeling much better by 30 days and look forward to making positive progress each day. He asked that I increase my exercise to 7 days a week, but i agreed to try and increase it to 5. Thank you all again for your encouragement and prayers. I think I can handle this.

I'm so glad that you went to the doctor.  Dehydration can really cause problems.  I was dehydrated and landed in the hospital because my intestines weren't working properly because of it!  The more you hydrate the better you will feel!  You will probably get an appetite back, too.
I'm also glad that you have an understanding doctor.  That's a huge plus!  So, congrats!  Let us know how it goes!

Hello everyone and again let me say how much I appreciate your caring and info/advice. I've only been back on flexeril 24 hours [3 doses] but can feel a difference in lower back pain. Also, even tho I have a large tolerance of meds [most things don't make me drowsy] I do feel a little less wound up during the day with it. Also- shazam!! this morning I woke up with- wait for it- hunger! I realized this morning that I was unsure what I was feeling, and when I realized it was hunger, I was shocked! I honestly can not remember the last time I felt actual hunger, as opposed to nausea or that icky empty. Thanks again!
