Good morning my friends,

With fall upon us, which is my favorite time of year, I have noticed that a lot of people are going into flares.  Changes in the weather, tis the season, financial problems, financial worries, shortness of the days and just plain ole everyday problems.

I thought that it would be nice if we could all start looking for something positive in every day.  Even if it is just getting out of bed when you don't feel good, that is an accomplishment.

It is early so I might have a little brain fog trying to think of something positive to say.  But I guess that it would be that I am glad to be up at six instead of sleeping until eleven.  I so love the mornings, though they don't really love me that much.

So if you have something good to write that would be so cool.  I think we need to focus on something good once in a while.  It lifts all of our spirits.

I went to a volleyball game last night, one of my friend''s daughters was playing so a couple of us got together and drove to watch.  The game was exciting and went fast.  I really enjoyed it.  And it did me good to get out.

So what is your good thing that you can write about?  Like I said, no matter how small, it still counts.  With the holidays sneaking up upon us, I think that it is important to focus on a positive now and then to relieve some of the stress.  And if you can't think of anything to write, write anything.

Hugs, Karen...

Hi Karen-

We're both in the same boat this morning. This is so early for me! But I do love mornings too. They are so peaceful.

Last night my 17yr. old had a class and my girlfriend lives close to where it was. I dropped him off and stopped over her house. Saw her new puppies- and they were adorable. I could have dropped my son off and just came home. But I'm glad I got out and ended up having a nice evening.   :-)

Hi Gamjill,

I am happy that you went out and visited your friend. I know sometimes that it would be so easy just to stay home, but now and then it does us good to push ourselves a little and get out and visit. I had to really push myself to go to that volleyball game, but I am so glad that I went.

I hope that you have a wonderful day,

Luv and hugs, Karen

Oh Karebear thinking positive has become my new thing. I have to work on it constantly but I'm trying to keep the negative out. It is hard to do with so much negative going on in this world. I'm a long ways from being like Little Miss Sunshine but I'm trying.

I have something that I am very excited about but it's a secret. devil

It was only 37 degrees when I got up so I turned the heat on. I hated to do it but it was 63 degrees in here and that is too cold for this body. Cold + fibro = pain.

I bet that I know what your secret is Marlee. Something that I was hoping that you would do.

I might be wrong though. I hope not.

I think I know your secret, Marlee, but I'll behave myself just this once.  wink

I, too, went out last night with a friend and had a great time.  We went for pizza and a salad.  I rarely eat pizza so that was a real treat.  The restaurant we went to had on the baseball playoff game and our Tampa Bay Rays were playing.  We both got very excited and I happen to be a "screamer" at games.  turn    We were both yelling and clapping and other people were just staring at us.  I didn't care.  I had a great time!  (Unfortunately, the Rays lost.  cry )

Then we have neices birthday at 5 My SIL just called to inform me that She invited my neices hole class parents and all and there is going to be about 100 people at this 10 year olds party.. I think that it is too much .

My positive thing for the day.  I am getting one on one time with my oldest daughter tonight, she is 15.  We are going to get ice cream and renting a movie.  It's a rare occasion that I get one on one time with any of my girls so this is precious time to me.  So everyone have a wonderful evening, and thanks for the great topic.  Now I need to go to the store and get the ice cream so we can start our evening.

Hmmm.... Good thing..... fall weather, fall colors, weekend, not working tomorrow.... college football!!!

My positive thing for the day is I went to my 2nd chiropractic appointment. So far, so good. What I mean by that is the visits haven't triggered any flare ups and between my first and second appointments I had no migraines! I've been having daily migraines.... so, no migraine today! Positive, positive, positive!

My positive thought for the day was..............I've made it through another week of work.

I'm really having to push myself this school year.  I work with a six year old autistic boy that also has a behavior problem.  I keep telling myself that I'm getting to old to deal with a problem child, but then I keep hanging on thinking a little progress is a big reward.  He is so smart and catches on quickly, but his parents were young when he was born and thought he couldn't learn what no means, so they never tried to dicipline him at all.  He reminds me of Helen Keller.  I pray for patience every day before I enter the classroom.  I am thankful though, that I still have a job 5 minutes from home and can get out of bed and make it to work.

God Bless!
Shannon

Good idea karen. I like hearing all the happy things. Marlee, we do survivor night, too! We can get survivor an hour earlier, so we do survivor, csi, grey's anatomy and er.

I am happy to be visiting the day treatment program for profoundly developmentally disabled adults a couple of times a week. The consumers there are so much fun. They didn't know what to make of us at first, but have grown to like us. Next week I am volunteering at a haunted house at an activity center for adults with schizophrenia. That will be a lot of fun too. I get to be a floating head!

Sue, the girl that gives my massages sister use to date Ace on Survivor. She said he is a real jerk.

If I would remember to get my DVR hooked up I would record CSI.

Marlee, I will have to tell my kids. They all dislike Ace very much. I wanted to apply for survivor, but my son in law sort of knows one of them: can't remember his name - he was on two shows (a regular one and either all stars or favorites). He is skinny with spikey hair and tattoos. We heard he got parasites so bad that it took a year to get rid of them. Ewww!
