Things are looking up now :) I almost broke down and cried in front of my manager as I told her exactly what I'm having problems with. She suggested that I see a different doctor and said that I don't need to work until this gets all sorted out and I actually feel better.

She was hit by a car last year and so has had to deal with the same "talk to a doctor who has no idea what's ACUTALLY going on" thing. She was very supportive and gave me some tips on what I can do to get the doctors and disability to listen to me. She suggested I apply for EI disability.. an option I wasn't even aware of.

She said don't worry about my job - that when I want to come back to work when I'm healthy that I'll have nothing to worry about.

Sometimes things are hard... and sometimes things are a whole lot easier than you thought they would be. I'm so glad she was so understanding.

I feel much better. Thanks for all the hugs <3

Hi there....I'm pretty much new here and this is my first post.

I understand what you are going through. I was newly dx'd in April of this year.

My boss has been great. I am in a terrible flare right now, and fighting some other issues, and cannot work.
I a manager, so I'm very fortunate we are a small company and can shift responsibilities until I return. I feel
awful having to impose that on all of them, but I have to take care of myself.

I'm glad your day turned out better than you hoped, and perhaps with less stress you can focus on getting some
rest and healing.

Oh sweetie, I definitely understand what you are experiencing. Adjusting to having a syndrome like fibromyalgia is very hard.

Please take your time caring for yourself. If you need company, one of us is here during the day (if not more).
