I started taking cymbalta Fri evening and have noticed a new headache unlike the ones I have normally. Has anyone else had headaches from cymbalta??? It is listed as possible side effect and I'm wondering if it will go away with time.

Thanks
luv and hugs

Cymbalta gave me the worse headache of my life!!! I tried it for 3 weeks and the headache never went away. The dr told me to discontinue it right away. Just another drug I cannot tolerate. Try it for a few more days,
you might have more luck than I did

Golly, Marlee, I just checked and headache is one of the side affects of Cymbalta.  I feel so badly for you.  You are so sensitive to everything.  I think I'd take it a few more days, like Tootie suggested, and if the headaches are still there, call the doc.  I hope this will pass for you.  Here is the link about Cymbalta.

Marlee,

I hope that the headaches go away and that you are able to tolerate the cymbalta. I hope that the cymbalta works for you.

Best wishes,

Hugs, Karen

Marlee,
I started Cymbalta in August, and it gave me a horrible headache toward the end of the day. You are right, it was unlike any headache I had ever had. I knew from reading about Cymbalta that this could be a side affect, so I tried to stick it out a few more days and it just gradually went away. My doctor is now doubling my dose and I am getting them again, but I'm hoping it is temporary again. If you can possibly stick it out another week or so, I found Cmbalta has really helped me until the cold has begun. I hope you feel better soon!
