For some reason the knees seem to get worse with walking, but all my joints are hurting all the time, even in bed in the middle of the night.

I already exercise every day and do a lot of the stretches described in the stretching thread. I try to eat anti-inflammatory foods every day.

Any other tips for easing the knee pain? I have exercises to help the other joints, but the knees seem to be stubbornly sore, so I'm stuck and looking for inspiration and advice.

I have the same problem with my knees... I've been meaning to look into something that I can wear on my knees to keep them warm when I go for a walk.. because I find if I wear gloves it helps with the pain in my hands and wrists. I also take a lot of rests... and bathe in hot water more often if my knees are at their worst.

I understand the painful knees. Doctors make such a big issue about exercise helping to relieve our symptoms. They fail to say, we will still feel pain after all of that hard work. Okay, I will admit I feel better when I exercise than when I do not.

Back to you. When my knees hurt I try to exercise with my legs straight instead of bent, I find that working the muscles above and below the knee is less painful. After I do this for a couple of weeks, I find that everything feels better.

I also put heat on my knees and massage them.

I purchased warm snow boots that come up to my knees and smartwool brand knee socks this year. I have long johns but will order some silk ones soon. those are supposed to keep you warm.

So far the boots have helped my feet and knees to feel better. I cill easily because I use a power chair outside of my home.

If you can get to a pool or jacuzzi just go and relax in it. HOt showers help but I find it is too much work to take a shower every time my knees hurt. lol

Feel better.
