If any of you suffering from fibro have sensitivity to just about all the senses, DO NOT, I reapeat, DO not buy Puffs tissues with a 'hint of Vicks'.  The Vicks featue is not stated on the package in print that anyone over 30 can read..actually as I sit here looking at the box, the only real 'warning' is a small, microscopic to the naked eye, green triangle with 'Vicks' printed in the middle.  I blew my nose with one of these an hour ago.  My lips, nose and cheeks feel like they have been slatered with BenGay.

Flu season is here.  When you run to the store to buy your eight pack of tissues, be sure to wear your glasses.

I use to love the smell of vicks but I haven't smelled it for years. I have become more sensitive to some smells too so I will take a magnify glass with me when I need to buy Puffs. I don't buy the ones with lotion either.

I always smell body wash, lotion, fabric softner and about everything with a fragnance before I buy it anymore.

I'm like Marlee.  smhair   devil    I don't buy any tissues with lotion on them.  Besides, they make a mess of my glasses when I try to clean them with those tissues.

Did the Vicks clear out your sinuses?  smilewinkgrin

Sherrine...I am dead serious.  It has been six hours and I can still feel that 'icy' sensation on my face.  I only used three tissues!  It is 60 degrees here, I walked outside with one of the dogs and it was though I had stepped into a meat locker.  I have washed my face twice!  I don't know how to get it off...told The Husband about it and he said I should use WD-40, as it professes to remove anything.  Ha Ha, very funny.  I just HAD to punch him in the arm...not very hard as I don't want to get arrested for spousal abuse.  And no, it did not clear out my sinuses.

If you have some facial cream or Oil of Olay, try that.  It may make the skin feel better.

Hey All,
I thought this would be a great place to add that alot of our problems with smells are usually overgrowth of yeast that many fibro patients have. My doctor gave me a questionare when I first went to him and it asked if cigarette smoke bothers me and or if strong perfumes bother me. The questionaire had probably 75 questions that I just didn't understand the point of him asking these questions to me and then he explained that yeast overgrowth can attack the body in several ways and affect sinuses, smells, skin and many more. I have been on a yeast-free diet since August and I must tell you that these smells no longer bother me! I used to hate to even go near a candle section because I got the worst headache immediately and I am finally burning candles and loving it. I was even even given 2 cookbooks by my doctor to make things easier. I learned how to make my own salad dressings, mayonnaise and really healthy meals. It also helped my pain (except for this weather changing stuff) Just thought I woulod share. Take care all, Sheri
