Okay my hands and wrist have been hurting like they were smashed with bricks and the slightest chill makes them even worse. Last night I noticed my right forearm seemed puffy so I was pushing around on it when I felt a little hard lump under the skin, it's the size of three or four BBs. I can't tell if it is attached to a muscle or ligament. It's a few inches down from the bend of my elbow. If I push on it a certain way it I get a sharp pain like a TRP which I have all over my body but I have not felt anything this small and hard before. When I bend my arm so everything in there is loose I can get it between my fingers.

Just wondering if anyone else has had these little things under their skin??? Just when I think I have felt everything I think I can feel on my body something else pops up.

Thanks
luv and hugs

Marlee, this could be the start of a ganglion cyst.  Here is a link about them.  Check with your doctor, though.

There was a medical article by the National Institute of Health about it and it mentioned swelling.  I didn't put the link in because it was all medical jargon but I did understand the word "swelling"!  smilewinkgrin Hope this helps.

By the way, I had a friend that had one on her wrist and she had her brother slam a book on it and it disappeared!   smhair   I think I'd opt for a trip to the doctor!  LOL

Hi Marlee,

All my lumps are larger than that and not as hard. But I have one on my forearm too.

It sounds like a ganglien cyst or a calcium deposit. But as Sherrine says, have the doctor check it out, just in case. Hopefully it is nothing serious.

Hugs, Karen

Marlee,

My sister had one that showed up right above her elbow. It turned out to be a cyst & nothing to worry about, but as the rest said...let your doc check it out just to be sure.

Hope it turns out fine! I know you don't need anything else to worry about right now! Hugs!!!

Hi Marlee-

I had something similar and it turned out to be "scar tissue" from hitting that area on something. Don't remember hitting it though.

I don't think it is anything but do have it checked when you see your Dr. again.

I had totally forgotten that many years ago shortly after having colon surgery I had to have a cyst removed from the upper inside of the same arm but I don't remember it being as hard as this is. I have an app with rheumy on the 10th so I will have him look at it.

Marlee, I have some places in both of my arms that sound sort of like you have described.  I showed them to my dr. back a few years ago and he told me not to worry about them that they were where tissue in my arm have ruptured.  They're still there after all these years and have never given me any trouble, I just know they are there.

You do need to ask your dr. about them though.

God Bless!
